The project
Are you a nature lover looking to volunteer abroad? This is the perfect project for you! Spend two weeks in the heart of a German forest, actively contributing to conservation efforts. Your main task will be planting trees, but you’ll also get involved in other conservation tasks, such as forest maintenance, constructing and repairing protective fences, and preserving the local biotopes. By helping on these activities, you’ll learn a lot about forest ecosystems and play an important role in protecting the environment.
Accommodation & food
Accommodation is at a leisure centre set in the middle of the forest you’ll be replanting. Some of your meals will be prepared by the accommodation team, and you’ll cook evening meals together as a group. Money will be provided for group meals, and we ask that you let us know of any dietary restrictions or intolerances when you register.
Location & leisure
You’ll be staying in a beautiful building surrounded by nature, perfect for evenings spent barbecuing or sitting around a campfire. A minibus will be available for your group, so you can explore the stunning surroundings and visit local attractions such as swimming pools, animal parks, and climbing areas. You’ll also have the chance to go on trips to the Rhine River, Koblenz, Mainz, or Frankfurt during the weekends. The nearest town, Bingen, offers a variety of sights and attractions for you to discover.
